Leading glass processor ESG Glass has introduced a new magnetic coating which creates magnetic glass panels for use in multi-function spaces such as offices, breakout rooms, meeting rooms and classrooms.

Using a new, highly magnetic coating, ESG technicians will back paint one surface of a glass pane to create a practical and long-lasting surface that can be used to attach magnetic signs or noticeboard style magnets for easy changing of notices, flipchart paper or posters.

ESG can provide a magnetic coating for ordinary annealed glass, toughened glass, laminated glass and toughened laminated glass products. The glass panel is first coated with colour. This can be a single all over colour or a pattern; or it can be back painted with a corporate logo or symbol. The magnetic coating is then applied, to give the reverse the same magnetic qualities as a metallic board, but with the highly resistant and durable surface which only glass can provide.

ESG’s magnetic coating can be applied to smaller panels or entire internal glazed walls as preferred.

For many clients, the first choice is a plain white back painted surface, with added magnetic coating, to create the ultimate hard-wearing, versatile white board, but any colour of dry wipe board can be created for brainstorm break out sessions, café specials boards, or rapidly changing notice boards. The glass surface also provides meticulous hygiene, so is bound to prove popular with doctor’s surgeries, hospitals and clinics.

With the clever use of interlayer technology, ESG can also add sound reducing properties so neighbouring glazed meeting rooms can be insulated from noise nuisance. This allows maximum creative energy to be release using a white board, while allowing other routine work to continue uninterrupted.
